Dr. Evermore’s Steampunk Art Park….what more can one say? This is simply one of the most gorgeously envisioned use of scrap metal and parts one could hope to see.
My absolute favorite? The FOREVERTRON! Art that incorporates the decontamination chamber from the Apollo 11 spacecraft? The Forevertron, a flock of birds made from musical instruments and more are the eclectic creations of Dr. Evermore (aka Tom Every) of North Freedom, Wisconsin. As owner of Delaney’s surplus, Tom has salvaged incredible elements of industrial heritage since 1983 to create an alternative landscape of technological fantasy. Thank you, Tom Every…
As described on the site – The Forevertron is actually the world’s largest scrap metal sculpture, standing 50 feet tall, 120 feet wide, 60 feet deep and weighing 320 tons. This amazing recycled art incorporates two Thomas Edison dynamos from the 1880s, lightning rods, high-voltage components from 1920s power plants, scrap from the nearby Badger Army Ammunition Plant, and the decontamination chamber from the Apollo 11 spacecraft.
